No, I don't think so. This is a bug in dc-gui, not in qt. And I don't know about any other app that requires <qt-3.0.5. As for bugs with >=qt-3.0.4, I'm not expiriencing any myself but I know of several fixed in 3.0.4 and 3.0.5, which after all are mostly bugfix releases. Of course this is a subjective view since different bugs hit diferent people, but overall every new qt version fixed a lot more bugs than it introduced. Besides, the upgrade path to a 2-slot setup would be prohibitively ugly, especially since portage doesn't allow slot-based dep ranges yet. Short version: this is a bug in dc-gui and should be fixed by the upstream author, especially since he knows about it. Unless you propose that I mask dc-gui because of this, three's nothing I can do. Sorry. |
