InterIMAP and PullIMAP are new IMAP synchronization tools <https://guilhem.org/interimap/>.

InterIMAP synchronizes emails and their metadata between a remote IMAP server and local storage. By leveraging the Quick Mailbox Resynchronization IMAP extension, it can offer much better performance than tools such as OfflineIMAP.

PullIMAP retrieves messages from an IMAP mailbox and deliver them locally. It can use the the IDLE IMAP extension to reduce both latency and network traffic.

Because OfflineIMAP is masked (Python 2.7-only?). This perl-based package could provide a good alternative.
