Description Jochen Schlick 2020-06-27 22:22:01 UTC
the ethercodes.dat provided with this package is very, very old...

This blogpost provides a script for downloading the current codes from IEEE.

http://jhjessup.blogspot.com/2010/04/update-mac-address-manufacturer-tables.html

(as mentioned in one of the comments: http://standards-oui.ieee.org/oui.txt contains now the current data)

Maybe this script can be integrated, or fresh downloaded ethercodes can be integreated ....

https://ee.lbl.gov/downloads/arpwatch/ shows there are 3.0 and 3.1 updates available, too.
