Just out of curiosity, if you change your sound-slot configuration for alsa, does it work? No, it doesn't work (at least for me). This is definately a keybindings-related bug - the volume panel works properly. lspci: Multimedia audio controller: Creative Labs SB Live! EMU10k1 (rev 0a) Did you try to change the order in which the modules are loaded in /etc/modules.autoload.d/kernel-2.6 ? AFAIK, the card which has its module loaded first will be controlled by the keybindings. Of course, it should be at slot 0 in the alsa config already, as mentioned in comment 1.
