gtk-gnutella-0.95.log
Hi, Can confirm this. Same with me - sandbox violation. Disabling the 'sandbox' "solves" the problem. Thanks Rumen Sandbox is disabled (eg. not used in FEATURES) here and the problem persists. I'm having the same problem. Disabling sandbox does nothing. Trying to chmod 700 .gnome2_private doesn't fix it. Attaching my own error log. root@joseph-a-nagy-jr:~# emerge --info Portage 2.0.51-r8 (default-linux/x86/2004.0, gcc-3.4.1, glibc-2.3.4.20041102-r0, 2.6.8.1 i686) ================================================================= System uname: 2.6.8.1 i686 Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.40GHz Gentoo Base System version 1.6.8 Python: dev-lang/python-2.3.4 [2.3.4 (#1, Aug 30 2004, 08:30:29)] dev-lang/python: 2.3.4 sys-devel/autoconf: 2.59-r5 sys-devel/automake: 1.8.5-r1 sys-devel/binutils: 2.15.92.0.2-r2 sys-devel/libtool: 1.5.2-r7 virtual/os-headers: 2.6.8.1-r1 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86 ~x86" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CFLAGS="-march=pentium4 -mmmx -msse -msse2 -mfpmath=sse -O3 -pipe -g" CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3.2/share/config /usr/kde/3.3/env /usr/kde/3.3/share/config /usr/kde/3.3/shutdown /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/lib/mozilla/defaults/pref /usr/share/config /usr/share/texmf/dvipdfm/config/ /usr/share/texmf/dvips/config/ /usr/share/texmf/tex/generic/config/ /usr/share/texmf/tex/platex/config/ /usr/share/texmf/xdvi/ /var/qmail/control" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/terminfo /etc/env.d" CXXFLAGS="-march=pentium4 -mmmx -msse -msse2 -mfpmath=sse -O3 -pipe -g" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="autoaddcvs autoconfig buildpkg ccache digest distlocks fixpackages nostrip sandbox sfperms usersandbox" GENTOO_MIRRORS="ftp:///ftp-stud.fht-esslingen.de/pub/Mirrors/gentoo/ http://mirror.datapipe.net/gentoo ftp://mirrors.sec.informatik.tu-darmstadt.de/gentoo/" MAKEOPTS="-j2" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="" SYNC="rsync://rsync.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="x86 X aalib acl acpi adns aim alsa apache2 apm arts audiofile avi berkdb bidi bitmap-fonts bonobo canna caps cdr cjk crypt cscope cups curl dba debug directfb divx4linux doc dvd encode esd evo f77 fam fbcon fftw flac flash foomaticdb fortran freetds freewnn gb gcj gd gdbm gif gimp gimpprint gnome gpm gstreamer gtk gtk2 gtkhtml icq imagemagick imap imlib innodb ipv6 jabber jack java jikes jpeg junit kde lcms ldap libwww mad maildir mailwrapper mbox mikmod milter mmx mng motif mozilla mpeg msn mysql nas ncurses nls objc odbc offensive oggvorbis opengl openssh oscar oss pam pdflib perl pic png postgres python qt quickline quicktime readline realplayer ruby sasl scanner sdl sftplogging slang slp snmp spell sqlite sse ssl svg svga tcltk tcpd tetex theora tiff truetype unicode usb videos xml xml2 xmms xv xvid yahoo zlib" Created attachment 47259 [details]
Error log from trying to install the newest version of GTK-Gnutella
Adding "userpriv usersandbox" to your FEATURES in make.conf either fixes (or more likely just hides) this bug. I still think its a bug because I doubt it really needs to touch the .gnome2_private stuff. That worked. In certain cases and setups the 'make' process of gtk-gnutella uses glade to construct the (already included) C files. That may be the cause of this error. Note that the latest versions of gtk-gnutella, including 0.95.3 which is now in portage, don't use glade anymore to build the files. Instead the files supplied in the archive are always used. My suggestion would be to close this bug. Re comment #9: There are still many versions of gtk-gnutella in the tree and until .95.3 is stable, I think this bug could still affect people. Close it when .95.3 goes stable is OK with me. *** Bug 95861 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** gtk-gnutella-0.95.4 stable on amd64 and x86. Waiting for other achs. Closing. |
