It doesn't actually. There's a tar.xz in the work directory that isn't installed that causes the QA check to complain. In 1.0.0 version I have /usr/share/doc/mm-common-1.0.0/skeletonmm.tar.bz2 installed as well, which got repacked from that skeletonmm.tar.xz by portage. I didn't deal with it yet, because really this needs investigation what it is too, and perhaps some special handling of it, as just outright deleting it might break developer workflow (gtkmm using upstream devs trying to use gentoo).
