Since euse looks for use.desc and use.local.desc in /etc/make.profile/../, setting my make.profile to /usr/portage/profiles/default-linux/x86/2004.3, won't resolve use.desc and use.local.desc to a valid path (because use.* is int /usr/portage/profiles).  I'm not missing something am I?
