Comment 2 Uwe Scholz 2020-06-20 19:14:19 UTC
With the latest version bump to 1.10.3, libgnome and libgnomeui will be gone after marking it stable.

Still to do (which will be tough) is to get rid of gnome-vfs by migrating to gio.

Is there a known deadline for gnome-vfs removal in portage?
Comment 3 Andreas Sturmlechner gentoo-dev 2020-06-20 22:26:16 UTC
gnome-base/gnome-vfs can only be removed after gnome-base/libgnome and gnome-base/libgnomeui are done, and that will take a while. No definitive date though.
Comment 4 Uwe Scholz 2020-06-20 22:31:15 UTC
In this case I will remove the string "and gnome-base/gnome-vfs" in the subject of that bug report so that we can close the bug after stabilization of gnome commander 1.10.3.
Comment 5 Uwe Scholz 2020-06-29 20:30:49 UTC
Adding amd64 and x86 teams for going stable. I can confirm that all packages which gnome-commander depends on are stable.

When stabilising and closing this bug here, kindly also reference bug #728358, which can be closed together with the current request.
Comment 6 Andreas Sturmlechner gentoo-dev 2020-06-29 20:32:09 UTC
Technically, we haven't had the 30-day waiting time yet. But if as upstream you feel very comfortable with that release, I won't stop you.
Comment 7 Agostino Sarubbo gentoo-dev 2020-07-02 06:26:15 UTC
amd64 stable
Comment 8 Agostino Sarubbo gentoo-dev 2020-07-02 06:36:24 UTC
x86 stable. Closing.
