I've emerged gnome 2.8 branch for more than one week, and it worked just fine on my ppc64 though there are still some minor problems here and there. I think it's already workable environment and could marked testing. The attachment is the list of gnome related packages installed on my system.

I am sorry for that posting. I thought it would be easier for us users to maintain our systems when the related packages were marked.

the only package which needs to be "made compiling and working" is mozilla. it is
a dependency, so we need to do that first.
