Description Philippe Lafoucrière 2004-11-25 13:20:30 UTC
kde doesn't use any flag. I wonder if it is possible to set some flags like "games" "edu" "pim" (or maybe "kdegames" "kdeedu",..). Setting flags like "-edu" wouldn't emerge kdeedu at all. I don't know if there's some cross dependancies between kdeedu and other parts of KDE, but this could improve space used, and upgrading (emerging) time. I *never* use either games or education software on KDE :(

Thanks

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge -ep kde
2.
3.

Actual Results:
[...]
[ebuild N ] kde-base/kdemultimedia-3.3.1
[ebuild N ] kde-base/kdeaddons-3.3.1
[ebuild N ] kde-base/kdeedu-3.3.1
[ebuild N ] kde-base/kdegames-3.3.1
[ebuild N ] kde-base/kdeaccessibility-3.3.1
[ebuild N ] kde-base/kde-3.3.1

Expected Results:
Only useful (and necessary) kde package

Just merge the packages individually - the kde.ebuild is just a wrapper to emerge all of the kde related builds.

Or wait until all of the meta ebuilds are done.
