The attached patch is from alsa-driver CVS, it allows emu10k1.ko to detect my Audigy2 ZS properly providing support for 7.1 surround sound. Would it be possible to merge this into the Gentoo ebuild as its likely to take a while to get into an offical release.

I'm working on snd-ioctl32 fixes in alsa-driver-1.0.7-r1, so I'll throw this in when that version is released.

the patch has been added to 1.0.7-r1, but it's still in -* because of the snd-ioctl32 issues
