Could someone from the cjk herd help out? :) Intlfonts is fixed-width font, so you may want to emerge kochi-substitute, sazanami and/or ja-ipafonts (they are TrueType fonts, so you don't have to do anything else but run emerge to use them with mozilla and konqueror). I got a personal reply from him and he said the original problem was solved by emerging kochi-substitute. Perhaps we need up-to-date English documentation to setup Japanese environment, just like liquidx write Chinese howto at http://dev.gentoo.org/~liquidx/ |
