With recommended /etc/make.profile -> ../usr/portage/profiles/default-linux/x86/2004.3
euse -i fails with following error:
EUSE exiting with following errors:
requires read permissions for /etc/make.profile/../use.desc. 
requires read permissions for /etc/make.profile/../use.local.desc.
Should it be corrected in portage tree?

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge sync
2. euse -i sse
3.

Actual Results:  
EUSE exiting with following errors:
requires read permissions for /etc/make.profile/../use.desc. 
requires read permissions for /etc/make.profile/../use.local.desc.

Expected Results:  
sse [+] [C] [G] fast floating point optimization for PentiumIII+ class chips

Thank you for reporting this. However, this was already reported in bug #46982.
