Description William Breathitt Gray 2020-05-05 15:16:11 UTC
The mozc-2.23.2815.102 ebuild should pass an X flag to ibus for ibus support to work properly.

I see that ibus now has wayland support, but I'm not sure if upstream mozc supports that. If it does, then perhaps a version bump would be useful here.

Reproducible: Always

What problems exactly occur with USE="-X"?
Show build logs or other relevant outputs.
Comment 2 William Breathitt Gray 2020-05-08 14:30:35 UTC
After investigating further, I discovered the ibus-daemon was not started as expected on my system when compiled with USE="-X". I'm not sure what's causing that problem, but it appears unrelated to mozc: mozc works fine once I manually start ibus-daemon. So I'm closing this issue and respective PR because I believe the problem lies in another package.
