Now that is weird because pytest-fixture-config is definitely in pytest-virtualenv's deps. Hmm, let me guess. You've just tested pytest-fixture-config...-r1, correct? Then I suppose Portage allowed you to break pytest-virtualenv's depgraph because it wasn't strictly pulled in by anything. The bug has been closed via the following commit(s): https://gitweb.gentoo.org/repo/gentoo.git/commit/?id=6f3ce9bb87dae9eca368a404c9cd30f13ffd2b21 commit 6f3ce9bb87dae9eca368a404c9cd30f13ffd2b21 Author: Michał Górny <mgorny@gentoo.org> AuthorDate: 2020-05-03 19:49:13 +0000 Commit: Michał Górny <mgorny@gentoo.org> CommitDate: 2020-05-03 20:03:37 +0000 dev-python/pytest-fixture-config: Block py2 pytest-virtualenv Since dev-python/pytest normally loads all plugins, and PMs don't necessarily enforce dependencies of these that are not part of @world, it is possible to break their depgraph and break pytest on py2.7 completely. Add a blocker to make that harder.
