wait you contradict yourself. default-x86-1.0 uses gcc-2 not gcc-3... which is the accurate one? This is a known problem. Bind9 doesn't compile with parallel make. You got this since you're using an old bind version and revision. Please run emerge rsync and then emerge bind. Moreover, Bind 9.2.2rc1 is available and contains important security fix.
