Summary: gnu-classpath-0.10-r1 couldn't be successfully emerged with the default USE flags
Product: Gentoo Linux Reporter: Igor Golubev <ooptimum>
Component: [OLD] DevelopmentAssignee: Java team <java>

OS: Linux

Runtime testing required: ---

Description Igor Golubev 2004-11-19 14:09:08 UTC
I've failed to emerge gnu-classpath-0.10-r1 on my testing server with the default USE flags. At the beginning configure has failed to find any appropriate Java compiler, even though blackdown-jdk-1.4.1 is installed on this server and its javac is accessible through PATH. Therefore, I had nothing else to do but install jikes and add it to the USE flags. After that installation went somewhat further. Now I receive this error message diring its configure stage:

checking for zip... no
configure: error: you need to either install class files or glibj.zip

What else should I install prior to instalaltion of gnu-classpath and why this dependancy isn't reflected in the gnu-classpath's ebuild?

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge gnu-classpath

I don't know what is wrong in me today... Of course I meant bug #71791 in my previous message. Sorry...
