Are there any uncommented lines in /etc/eix-sync.conf? If there is a *, then remove it as that calls 'layman -S' |
I switched from layman to eselect-repository and what I get now when I call eix-sync is: * Syncing all portage overlays /usr/bin/eix-sync: 396: /usr/bin/eix-sync: layman: not found * layman -S failed * Running emerge --sync >>> Syncing repository 'gentoo' into '/var/db/repos/portage'...
