Description Stephan Elsner 2004-11-15 23:14:26 UTC
I'm using Kernel 2.4.26 and matroxfb with a Matrox G200.
Every SDL app (i.e. xmame) disables at least hardware acceleration, and even corrupts other fb settings when panning is enabled in matroxfb driver.
Even a tiny SDL program which just inits a SDL screen surface and closes ist, disables hardware accel.
If panning is enabled in matroxfb, SDL surfaces are drawn partially off screen (it seems that pan is not reset to 0 an SDL start)

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. use matroxfb
2. start mame.SDL
3. exit
4. every single text line takes about a second to scroll down from now :-(

Actual Results:
the console scolling slows down

Expected Results:
nothing special

Please file a bug upstream, as there is nothing we can really do here, at http://bugme.osdl.org. Thanks!
