I actually need to update OpenSSL, but this also fails: michel@boss ~ $ sudo emerge -avu --jobs --keep-going dev-libs/openssl These are the packages that would be merged, in order: Calculating dependencies - !!! Problem resolving dependencies for net-analyzer/net-snmp:0 from @__auto_slot_operator_replace_installed__ ... done! !!! The ebuild selected to satisfy "net-analyzer/net-snmp:0" has unmet requirements. - net-analyzer/net-snmp-5.8-r3::gentoo USE="bzip2 ipv6 mysql perl python ssl zlib -X -doc -elf -kmem -libressl -lm-sensors -mfd-rewrites -minimal -netlink -pci -rpm (-selinux) -smux -tcpd -ucd-compat" ABI_X86="(64)" PYTHON_SINGLE_TARGET="-python2_7" The following REQUIRED_USE flag constraints are unsatisfied: python? ( python_single_target_python2_7 ) The above constraints are a subset of the following complete expression: python? ( exactly-one-of ( python_single_target_python2_7 ) ) rpm? ( bzip2 zlib ) (dependency required by "@__auto_slot_operator_replace_installed__" [argument]) It is sad to read that you have problems with the software. The situation seems to be a bit more complicate and requires some analysis. We can not help you efficiently via bug tracker. The bug tracker aims rather on specific problems in .ebuilds and less on individual systems. I have had very good experience on the gentoo IRC [1] with questions like this. Of course there are also forums and mailing lists [2,3]. I hope you understand, that I will close the bug here therefore and wish you good luck on one of the mentioned channels [4]. Please reopen the ticket in order to provide an indication for an specific error in an ebuild or any gentoo related product.
