Please update the IPC-Version, too. I altered the .ebuild: EMVER="0.89.0" IPCVER="1.1.1" A test build succeeded. |
Since package version mozilla-thunderbird-0.8 when the ebuild conatained 0.86.0 and should have contained 0.86.1 the enigmail module stayed on version 0.86.0. Now we have mozilla-thunderbird-0.9-r2 and STILL this tiny error is not corrected. The actual Enigmail version to go with would be 0.89.0. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.emerge enigmail 2.enigmail about 3.shows 0.86.0 instead of 0.89.0 Actual Results: Enigmail 0.86.0 Expected Results: Enigmail 0.89.0 If a package like enigmail (security) is inclueded into mozill-thunderbird (which I think is a great idea!) then one should pay special attention that always the actual version (right version according mozdev.org - enigmail) is included. It's hard enough to to sensibilize concerning security, what is nothing compared to make people to use gpg and sign their messages. Distributing a new, cool package like mozilla-thunderbird without the appropriate module makes that task once more difficult than it should be. FIX: 1.) Enable portage overlay in "/etc/make.conf" 2.) Copy ebuild to to overlay directory using the portage directory structure 3.) Correct line EMVER="0.86.0" to EMVER="0.89.0" 4.) ebuild /usr/local/portage/mail-client/mozilla-thunderbird/mozilla-thunderbird-0.9-r2.ebuild digest 5.) emerge -u mozilla-thunderbird =============== Enigmail 0.89.0 Released 2004-11-08, works with Mozilla 1.7.x and Thunderbird 0.9 Enhancements: * New OpenPGP key management frontend (bug 7408) * Merged enigmail and enigmime XPI into one single XPI * All of Enigmail is now installed in the user profile (Thunderbird only) * Allow "Always Encrypt" to be overridden (bug 6689) Bugs fixed: * Uninstallation of Enigmail from Mozilla leaves stuff behind (bug 5337) * Problems when Enigmail is installed globally (bug 6972) * Image blocker information bar doesn't hide when selecting mails without any images (bug 7297) * Long Key Name Causes Funky Line Wrapping in Message Window (bug 7306) * Filtered per-recipient rules don't work (bug 7360) * Cannot decrypt attachment containing a quote (') (bug 7821)
