in portage, dev-lang/wxpython-2.4.2.4-r1 and dev-lang/wxpython-2.5.3 are considdered "blockers"

shouldnt 2.4.* ebuild be fixed to stop this?

Thoss packages were masked and shouldn't be giving you any problem now.
