Description Joakim Tjernlund 2020-01-12 14:26:24 UTC
Apple AirScan is akin to their AirPrint technology for supporting various printers from Apple devices without the need for specialized drivers. Multi-function printers compliant with AirPrint also need to implement AirScan for scanner functionality, thus opening up most of today's multi-function printers to supporting this scanning standard.

The escl backend was added in 2.0.30 to media-gfx/sane-backends. Hope that helps!

Yes, I noticed that just now :)
My scanner (MG5500) works too.
Just want to mention that sane-airsan has support for WSD now in case
someone needs it.

Also, if adding this pkg, use the meson build system, it works without tinkering
