Configure.ac does automagic detection of compressors at build time and enables the code required to use the compressors based on that.
If someone installs a new compressor and changes PORTAGE_COMPRESS
We should prepare, integrate and upstream a patch to fix this.
I'll attach configure.ac from man-db-2.9.0 to illustrate the problem.
