Hi,

After a "emerge kde-i18n-de" portage tries some locations.

http://www.ibiblio.org/gentoo/distfiles/kde-i18n-de-3.0.3.tar.bz2
and other mirrors: file not found

ftp://download.au.kde.org/pub/kde/kde/stable/3.0.3/src/kde-i18n-de-3.0.3.tar.bz2
and others results: No such directory 'X'

So I download the source archive from:
ftp://ftp.kde.org/pub/kde/stable/3.0.3/src/kde-i18n/
And then you can see, why the ebuilds (I only tested the de) don't work.

The kde-i18n source archives are in an extra directory at the KDE servers.
kde/stable/3.0.3/src/kde-i18n/ instead of kde/stable/3.0.3/src/ .
