Description Ben Anderson 2004-11-06 13:49:45 UTC
When beginning to play an MP3 file, xmms-mad freezes XMMS periodically (for about half a second), then proceeds to play the song, but skips roughly the first two seconds of the song. XMMS' mpg123 plugin does not display this behavior, nor does XMMS show this behavior on Ogg Vorbis files when the xmms-mad plugin is enabled.
Comment 1 Jeremy Huddleston (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-11-07 02:39:42 UTC
xmms-mad doesn't handle oggvorbis files...

can you please provide the output of 'emerge --info' and 'qpkg -I -v mad'

I know, I was just merely stating my reasons for suspecting xmms-mad.
