sys-kernel/rt-sources has been maintainer-needed since April of 2019.

It meets the following criteria for treecleaning:

lack of an active Gentoo maintainer
vulnerabilities that are not addressed
blocking a tree-wide migration/cleanup - Removal of deblob support from kernel-2.eclass

I can co-maintain if you wish. I've created/copied a set of ebuilds for each of the current live kernel branches - 4.4, 4.9, 4.14, 4.19 and 5.4 and they emerge OK. My next steps are to build some kernels with defconfigs and run through QEMU for initial test, as per the current kernelCI system.
