Description Paul Osmialowski 2019-12-04 08:26:55 UTC
I did emerge --sync today, then emerge -puNDv world. It stuck on this:

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Calculating dependencies /

!!! Problem resolving dependencies for kde-frameworks/ki18n ... done!

!!! The ebuild selected to satisfy "ki18n" has unmet requirements.
- kde-frameworks/ki18n-5.64.0::gentoo USE="-debug -doc -test" ABI_X86="(64)" PYTHON_SINGLE_TARGET="-python3_6 (-python3_7)" PYTHON_TARGETS="-python3_6 (-python3_7)"

The following REQUIRED_USE flag constraints are unsatisfied:
    exactly-one-of ( python_single_target_python3_6 python_single_target_python3_7 )

The above constraints are a subset of the following complete expression:
    exactly-one-of ( python_single_target_python3_6 python_single_target_python3_7 ) python_single_target_python3_6? ( python_targets_python3_6 ) python_single_target_python3_7? ( python_targets_python3_7 )

I tried to resolve it in /etc/portage/package.use file as such:
kde-frameworks/ki18n python_single_target_python3_6 -python_single_target_python3_7 python_targets_python3_6 -python_targets_python3_7

It didn't cause any effect whatsoever.

At this moment, I really don't know what to do. Please help.

emerge --info shows:

Comment 1 Andreas Sturmlechner gentoo-dev 2019-12-04 08:32:53 UTC
You have omitted PYTHON_TARGETS from your emerge --info output, so I can't tell you for sure.

python3_6 would be the the default, which you probably have overridden for some reason or another. Fix your make.conf and also check /etc/portage/package.use for python_target* entries that may need cleanup.
Comment 2 Paul Osmialowski 2019-12-04 09:17:20 UTC
Good hint. After all of those years my package.use file is so long that I didn't notice it already has flags specifying older python for ki18n.
