When trying to build packages, dev-cpp/lucene++ was added to the build list, and failed with:

CMake Error at /usr/share/cmake/Modules/FindPackageHandleStandardArgs.cmake:146 (message):
  Could NOT find Protobuf (missing: Protobuf_INCLUDE_DIR)

Indicating it misses dev-libs/protobuf dependency.

Manually installing via emerge -1 dev-libs/protobuf and remerging lucene++ made it compile correctly

*attach* the logfiles and 
paste the emerge info as described on
https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Attach_the_logs_to_the_bug_ticket
We need to have all information at hand before ticket assignment, so that the maintainer can look after it in one session with minimal number of callbacks.
