Description Petr Zima 2019-11-21 21:31:24 UTC
The new version app-text/qpdf-9.1.0 pulls in net-libs/gnutls for crypto. Please make this optional. In fact, I don't use the crypto capabilities of qpdf at all, so additional dependency just bloats the system.

Reproducible: Always

ebuild patch adding USE flag "gnutls"

The recent qpdf-10.0.1-r1 enabled to use also openssl/libressl instead of gnutls. Adapted the patch accordingly.

ebuild patch adding USE flag "gnutls"

Updated the ebuild to current version. There is no good reason to force gnutls dependency, especially when openssl is enabled.

Ping :-) Any chance to get this in portage? I believe the request and the patch are completely reasonable. And it's a bit annoying to maintain local overlay just to fix shortcomings like this ;-)

Silently resolved since app-text/qpdf-10.5.0, closing.
