Since 2013, the linux kernel supports IPv6 Tokenized Interface Identifiers. 

Netifrc should support assigning IPv6 tokens in order to avoid workarounds like found in https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/IPv6_Static_Addresses_using_Tokens
