Bug 69807 – Files from sys-apps/shadow-4.0.5 and sys-apps/man-pages-1.67 collide

I tried to install sys-apps/shadow-4.0.5 while sys-apps/man-pages-1.67 is installed and get an error (see below).

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Add "collision-protect" to FEATURES
2. emerge man-pages
3. emerge shadow

Actual Results:  
   usr/sbin/vipw

Expected Results:  
Files shouldn't collide. The files that are in shadow should not be in
man-pages. Or there should be a way to have both packages and all files
installed at one time (eg. using update-alternatives from Debian).
