Created attachment 590402 [details] screenshot of make.conf compared to em --info output Gentoo profiles are forcing LANG variable set on LANG="en_CA.UTF8" making it impossible to be overwritten by end-user if specified in make.conf STEPS TO REPRODUCE: 1) Set LANG variable in make.conf 2) check `emerge --info` Notice: using `-*` in the value doesn't change the outcome. Portage 2.3.69 (python 3.6.5-final-0, default/linux/amd64/17.1, gcc-8.3.0, unavailable, 5.2.0-2-amd64 x86_64)
