Same here. using ld.bfd instead of ld.gold works. Same here switching from gold to bfd fixes the problem This also seems to happen on the main stable/linux.git linux-5.3.y branch, and has done so for a few minor release versions. Switching to the bfd linker also works around the issue there. The gold linker is not supported upstream to the point of now having a commit that will fail when attempted.
