- As you can see, it doesn't print details about this error. This is not a hardware problem as far as I know. It simply crashes. Maybe a CFLAGS/USE/ebuild problem?

- My USE's: +X +alsa -arts +cups -debug -jack -nas +ncurses +opengl -tcltk

- Any ideas? I can reproduce the same error anytime.

It is possible there is an error a lot higher up, I had that happen. Try building with MAKEOPTS=-j1 to make things more readable. It is probably a dupe of bug 69215 though.

yeah, it didnt 'simply crash', you just neglected to include the actual build error
