It is not bundled if you don't ignore the hard dependency in the package! That's why it's there. You need to solve or report the issue with the external libhandy, not hack around it by hacking around the package to use a bundled libhandy. Sorry about that. I was just playing around with libhandy-9999 and had some compatibility problems. I was not expecting gnome-contacts to provide its own when the system libhandy is missing. It is all working here now that I have libhandy and gnome-contacts from ::gentoo installed. Yeah, it really hard requires libhandy to not cause issues - the build path with the bundling is only meant to hit when building a flatpak for it |
