when emerging snort, no pointers to documentation are included.  A pointer to http://www.snort.org/docs/snort_manual/ with emphasis on MySQL/DB setup help being there.

what's wrong with snort_manual.pdf? it is in the usual place, (/usr/share/doc) - no need to point users there.

But if you're willing to write something up (a quick MySQL/DB setup or some sort of kickstart recipe) - I'll be happy to add it.
