Description wiono 2004-10-25 13:58:38 UTC
The kernel I've chosen was gentoo-dev-sources (2.6.8) and driver was eagle-usb v. 1.9.9 (can be downloaded via http://sourceforge.net/projects/eagle-usb/). The driver's module compiles and loads ok, but when synchronizing connection I'm getting in logs a few error lines "loosing too many ticks! ...", connection can't be estabilished and upluging modem leads to kernel fall.
I've googled that this error might be connected with timer and/or ACPI which I've compiled into kernel (and prefer it over APM).

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Expected Results:
If it's not kernel fault then just tell me what options I should avoid in
kernel configuration

Sorry that I didn't provide you whith any info, logs but I had to return my
computer to service.

My hardware is:
1. motherboard Giga-byte GA-k8vt800 (with the newest BIOS upgrade)
2. Athlon64 2800+ processor

Could you please take this up with the eagle-usb developers and see what they say?

I found that, in this driver, is a diagnostic program called eaglediag.
I will launch it as soon as my computer will be repaired
