The new candy feature of protage seems to be broken -- all I see is a green cursor flicking back and forth, it seems to have a character in the cursor but it doesn't go fast enough to read the whole line of text.

No complaining because you can't read fast enough!

There are some more possiblities in the works.
Genone had/has some interesting changes.

The candy is meant to be for when portage is going so slow that you are able 
to read it so that you don't get bored.
