I have just recompiled samba-4.10.1 with MAKEOPTS="-j1" and at no time the package utilized more than one CPU(-core) during compilation... FWIW it was during install phase: python3.6,29339 /var/tmp/portage/net-fs/samba-4.10.1/work/samba-4.10.1/buildtools/bin/waf --destdir=/var/tmp/portage/net-fs/samba-4.10.1/image/ install ... ebuild.sh─┬─tee │ └─python3.6─┬─13*[{python3.6}] │ ├─5*[python3.6───x86_64-pc-linux─┬─cc1] │ │ └─as] │ └─7*[python3.6───x86_64-pc-linux───collect2───ld] Created attachment 572106 [details]
