The current app-crypt/keybase package does not build the GUI component whatsoever nor does  app-crypt/kbfs set up the keybase filesystem correctly, mounting it to ~/.config/keybase/kbfs instead of /keybase, nor does it make the kbfs subdirectory of keybase, and will silently fail until you manually create it.

Previous bugs indicate that there was difficulty building electron apps in portage, but that no longer seems to be an issue. The linked github thread has some instructions on how to build keybase for a package manager, I would attempt myself but I confess to being intimidated by the prospect of building an Electron app with multiple components as my first attempt to write an ebuild.
