When does that happen?

Do you want to create a stage?

Are you bootstrapping?

(In case you're bootstrapping this bug is invalid since you set ~amd64 and we cannot support this).

Please provide more informations!

livecd portage # emerge --version
Portage 2.0.51_rc9 (default-linux/amd64/2004.3, gcc-3.4.2, glibc-2.3.4.20040808-r1, 2.6.7-gentoo-r11-up x86_64)
 
System print me this error when I make bootstrap-cascade.sh
