Atom first. What are "python perms"? -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 559 Nov 4 14:38 /usr/lib64/python3.6/site-packages/fail2ban-0.10.4-py3.6.egg-info/PKG-INFO Where did you get a set of permissions that isn't readable by others? The file permissions within that python directory where 600, 644 are expected. I manually corrected the perms by chmod a+r to let emerge of that tinderbox image continue its work.
