I like clearing bugs, but this is not my area. Reassigned so you guys can get it right.

can you paste the error -- and by the way, we don't have any Gtk versioned 0.5.6 -- what exactly is the package?
Comment 3 Lukasz 2004-10-25 07:10:25 UTC
Hmmm, sorry, my very, very fault :(((

The Gtksee-0.5.6 fails, after update glibc.

And again, I sorry for the chaos :(
Comment 4 Travis Tilley (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-10-26 14:52:58 UTC
the new glibc performs additional internal sanity checks to prevent and detect data corruption as early as possible. the actual bug is in gtksee... the new glibc just makes it more visible.

if you want to disable this checking, type 'MALLOC_CHECK_=0 gtksee'.

re-assigning to the gtksee maintainer.
Comment 5 Mr. Bones. (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-11-08 19:22:47 UTC
Give gtksee-0.6.0_beta1 a try and see if it works any better for you.
Comment 6 Mr. Bones. (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-11-15 12:10:53 UTC
No reply after a week. Considering it fixed.
