Description Kevin Attard Compagno 2004-10-16 05:23:49 UTC
executing:

LINGUAS="mt" emerge kde-i18n

does not retrieve Maltese language. Review of Bug No 39065 implies that the Maltese language is not available. The following link indicates that this is now avaiable.

ftp://ftp.kde.org/pub/kde/unstable/latest/kde-i18n/

I am currently one of the translators of the mt language for KDE and I would like to see the results on a live system.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. LINGUAS="mt" emerge kde-i18n
Actual Results:
gentoo1 root # LINGUAS="MT" emerge kde-i18n

Right, it's _unstable_, while the KDE ebuilds represent the stable KDE packages. You can use the unofficial kde cvs ebuilds http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/desktop/kde/kde-cvs.xml
or create your own i18n ebuild in your local portage overlay. But I bet the maltese language pack is pretty rudimentary, otherwise it would be included in the stable packages.
