can you paste the output of these crashes? also which profile are you using? policykit is masked enabled for me [ebuild N ] gnome-base/gconf-3.2.6-r4:2::gentoo USE="ldap (policykit).... it doesn't output anything, it just segfaults. i'm using [12] default/linux/amd64/17.0 (stable) * policykit should be forced on, not masked enabled. Not sure if it is related to policykit. I am running an ~amd64 openrc system without policykit and get the same issue. skypeforlinux start, show its windows, and cash silently 10 or 20 seconds later. I bumped the ebuild to skypeforlinux-8.40.76.32.ebuild and changed the SRC_URI line to: SRC_URI="https://repo.skype.com/rpm/unstable/${PN}_${PV}-1.x86_64.rpm" That version work like a charm, that with the rt-sources kernel with CGROUP completely disabled. this change in PR https://github.com/gentoo/gentoo/pull/10885 Guys, i'm telling you, it still happens.
