The attached patch adds the missing dependency
If "maintainer needed" means this patch is going to be in limbo, I'd be willing to volunteer to maintain this package (I maintain one overlay available through layman). The current ebuild for x11-misc/obmenu-generator is missing a dependency on dev-perl/Gtk2.
