Description Frank Krömmelbein 2018-12-29 22:02:53 UTC
Current stable version of snapper fails to build with current stable version of sys-fs/btrfs-progs-4.19.
Issue is fixed with snapper-0.5.6-r1 see
https://bugs.gentoo.org/670952

With the upcoming stabilization of dev-libs/icu-63.1-r1 ( https://bugs.gentoo.org/670456) and the subsequent rebuild of snapper, others will run into the same issue.

yes, let's do it.

Arches, please test and mark stable:

My opinion is that the fix for snapper-0.5.6 should have been placed inside 0.5.6 without a new -r1 ebuild.

AFAIK stabilization requests need 30+ days for a ebuild without bugs...

Why not stabilizing app-backup/snapper-0.8.1 instead? It build cleanly on my amd64 stable server.
