Should probably be in categorized as sci-lib 
CalculiX is a dependency for FreeCAD FEM workbench. 
Current stable is v2.14

I'm having an ebuild in my overlay (https://github.com/waebbl/waebbl-gentoo/tree/master/sci-libs/) for several years with a relatively current 2.17 release.

If there is approval to add this package to the tree, I'd be willing to maintain it.
