x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-g++: internal compiler error: Killed (program cc1plus) You ran out of memory. (In reply to Jeroen Roovers from comment #2) > x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-g++: internal compiler error: Killed (program cc1plus) > > You ran out of memory. Thanks Jeroen. I'm sorry for my stupid this bug. Just how much memory does Chromium need to compile? The ebuild checks for 3 GB. I ran into the same error on a computer with 8 GB RAM and 1 GB swap (and the RAM can't be upgraded). I've thrown another 8 GB of swap at it and am trying again. (In reply to Scott Alfter from comment #4) That depends on many variables. The ebuild memory check is a basically guess at a lower bound; if you have less than 3GB of available memory, the build is 100% going to fail. The likely-hood of failure decreases as memory increases. (In reply to Scott Alfter from comment #4) > Just how much memory does Chromium need to compile? The ebuild checks for 3 > GB. I have 16 GB memory and doesn't compile chromium when started GUI(KDE Plasma) . But I restarted with no graphical interface and login tty, compiled chromium successfully :) ( 1.2 GB RAM problem point, KDE Plasma and no gui :) ) |
